What is the difference between The Voice Straw and The Voice Cup?
The Voice Straw and The Voice Cup are tools used for SOVT (semi-occluded vocal tract) exercises, which are beneficial for vocal training. The Voice Straw focuses on regulating aerodynamic pressure below the vocal folds, helping to position the vocal folds for healthy movement and balance. It is designed to relieve tension, strain, breathiness, cracking, and flipping in the voice. The Voice Cup, on the other hand, is used in conjunction with the straw to balance acoustical pressure. When combined, they allow for a tight seal around the mouth, enabling one to sing, talk, or even yell while maintaining a healthy vocal tract configuration. This combination makes it a complete vocal package by addressing both aerodynamic and acoustical pressures, which is essential for optimal vocal health and performance.
